Rosalie Behen is a licensed, nationally certified massage therapist who has been practicing massage since 2000.
Initially, her interest in working with people led her to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree, in 1993, in Communications and Psychology, from Western Michigan University. This provided an excellent understanding of some of the mental and emotional aspects of individual uniqueness. However, her real interest was sparked when she began studying the physical aspects of the human body at the Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts, in 1999. After learning basic anatomy and Swedish massage, she continued her education at Irene’s Myomassology School, in Southfield, MI, where she graduated as a Certified Massage Therapist, after completing an extensive 500 hour program. In addition, she has a National Certification for Massage Therapy and is a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.
Rosalie has practiced massage therapy in the Ann Arbor area since 2000, providing individuals with a unique massage experience that helps to reduce stress, relieve muscle tension, and create an overall feeling of well-being. Rosalie likes to make each massage unique, combining different modalities to provide a therapeutic yet relaxing massage. She believes that massage not only helps people feel better physically and mentally, but also helps people become more aware of how to better take care of their bodies. In addition, Rosalie has offered on-site chair massage to reduce stress and increase productivity for corporate employees at Altarum Institute, Washtenaw Community College, Menlo Innovations, and Tectura.
Rosalie loves being outdoors and being active…. running, biking, playing and watching baseball and volleyball, or having fun with her three children and their friends. Her interest in physical activity has fueled a fascination with the human body and an appreciation of the unique capabilities of each individual.
Rosalie has lived with her husband, David, and their three children in the Ann Arbor area since 2000. She feels very fortunate to have massage in her life and works very hard to create a healthy balance between her work, her family and herself.
